been received NLT May 20th
~
Aircraft must be equipped with 2-Way radio (Handheld ok)
~
VFR Arrivals only (Cancel IFR), Flight plan
not needed
~ Listen to Ellsworth AFB ATIS 120.625
for
Airshow Arrival Information
~
Proceed inbound
to Ellsworth AFB maintaining VFR and contact Ellsworth
Approach 119.5 at 30NM. Advise Approach "Airshow Inbound"
~
Turn landing light on
Expect to be sequenced inbound via:
~ GOHAR N 44 20.470 W 103 18.389 (SW-NW Arrivals)
or
~ BEEFY N 44 11.540 W 102 45.770 (S-NE Arrival) then
direct
~ THUNDER N 44 10.4 W103 03.0 Midfield downwind entry
If no contact with Approach Control at 30NM
re-attempt at 20NM and 15NM.
All inbound aircraft must establish 2-Way radio contact with Approach in
order to join the arrival
Ellsworth Tower 126.05
handoff will occur inbound THUNDER
Join VFR pattern, 4500MSL, via midfield downwind entry
Taxi clear at Taxiway D (midfield) and follow flagmen to parking
NOTE: Flagmen will have you stop briefly
for photo-op in front of B-1 static display
NOTE: Bring your own chocks and
towbar.
Tie-downs are not available

Rapid City Taxi Clearance:
~ Advise
RAP ground "Callsign, Taxi, Inbound Ellsworth"
~ Follow controller instructions
~ Departure:
~
Traffic permitting, RAP tower will coordinate with Ellsworth tower
for a direct entry into the Ellsworth VFR pattern
~ If the Ellsworth
pattern is full, expect RAP tower to hand you off to
Approach, then follow Arrival Procedures Inbound (BEEFY-THUNDER)
